Lantern of the Laughless Saint Trailer

The Lantern of the Laughless Saint has multiple official trailers from NerveLabs, including the Announcement Trailer (January 2026) and the viral "F*** You Todd Howard" short that gained over 425,000 views.

Lantern of the Laughless Saint Trailer

Announcement Trailer

The first lantern of the laughless saint trailer is the official Announcement Trailer. NerveLabs uploaded it on January 31, 2026 as video WxeNxOu9JJY. GameTrailers posted a media copy on February 2, 2026 as bA33jV9pgIU. Official date wins.

The January video is the one Steam still lists as Announcement Trailer, movie id 257275829. The observed NerveLabs view count on August 19, 2026 was 18,426. The GameTrailers copy had 25,566.

The script is mood, not a feature dump. You wake from the same dream, follow a hunger in your chest, and see a Tower in the fog. People talk about a light under the tower and a saint buried in the stone. The GameTrailers description said the game would be available on PC.

Use the official channel copy when you embed or cite the announcement.

Viral Todd Howard Short

On April 11, 2026, NerveLabs posted a short, XYVvUULaCzc, that the research file titles around “Elder Scrolls 6 is taking too long…” That short had 425,509 views in the August 19 snapshot.

On April 15, 2026, the studio posted F*** YOU TODD HOWARD as FODWkUYMuQc. TrailerWorlds posted a same-day copy titled around “F you Todd” as Okt1NszWswI, with 10,709 views. Whether those April 15 uploads are one video in two places is 待确认. The title and date match.

Polygon and Screen Rant both wrote about that April trailer. Polygon called it the most unhinged trailer of 2026. Screen Rant quoted the line that Elder Scrolls 6 was taking so long they were making their own, then making it weird like Morrowind.

The April 15 script lists joke-scale jump spells, names the game as a prologue to The Holy Fool, and asks people to wishlist a 2026 release. That wishlist line is older than the August 17 launch.

Early Access Date Trailer

Indie Games Hub posted the closest pre-launch date trailer on August 12, 2026 as omsYIAwQl-E, with 8,749 views observed. That is the video that says Early Access is August 17 and recites the launch-content list.

It is also the video later used for the “50+ quests, 60+ enemies, 100+ items” claim. Notebookcheck repeated those numbers. They are official-video claims, not a Steam bullet list.

This clip is the cleanest public source for the lantern of the laughless saint release date besides the store API itself.

Early Access Launch Trailer

Steam’s second official movie is titled Early Access launch trailer WIP, id 257385392. The WIP tag matters. NerveLabs can replace it.

TrailerWorlds posted an Early Access launch trailer on July 26, 2026 as kKT6yO6N-xo, with 561 views. A nearby copy from IsaPlayingGames and other hubs also circulated that week.

The July script is the most mechanical of the set. It says every NPC can be killed and that the dead do not stay quiet. It names more than 50 quests, spellcrafting and alchemy, skills that grow as you use them, and full co-op from day one. It ends on Early Access August 17.

The platform line on that upload names Steam only. That is why the trailer page and the platform pages agree.

For studio context around The Holy Fool line, see the NerveLabs page. For the date itself, see the release date page.
